In this 60 minute workshop, Senior HR Director Olivia Cream will discuss the inequitable experiences of those who are standouts at work - men and women of color, women in senior or tech roles, and members of the lgbtq+ community.

 

Have you faced unfair treatment and struggled with navigating the position of being an “Only” at work? Or is there someone on your team or a coworker who experiences discrimination?

In this 60 minute workshop, Senior HR Director Olivia Cream will discuss the inequitable experiences of those who are standouts at work - men and women of color, women in senior or tech roles, and members of the lgbtq+ community. Along with identifying the undeniable benefits of diverse teams and inclusive leaders, we will learn how to take control of our own agendas, overcome challenges presented by inequity in the workplace, and ultimately pave the way for real change to happen in the corporate world by speaking up and taking action.

Olivia Cream, Senior Director, HR at Stryker

Olivia has served has a HR leader for Stryker since June 2012 and during this time she has successfully facilitated cross functional synergies and assisted with the development of many commercial leaders. Before joining Stryker, Olivia retired from the US Coast Guard in 2012. Most notably in 2009 Olivia made Coast Guard history as she became one of two first African American Engineer officers to serve on a “major” cutter. In 2012 Olivia joined Stryker as an Advanced Sourcing Lead.

Olivia served as the Advanced Sourcing manager for 4 years before moving to HR as the Endoscopy Division Sales HRBP in 2015. As a HR leader, Olivia is focused on employee relations, talent assessment, performance management, development, workforce planning, and recruiting functions. In this capacity she supported over 900 sales personnel including the VP of Sales, 6 Directors, 51 Regional Managers and over 500 sales representatives.

Olivia also has a strong focus on diversity; she reestablished the Stryker Endoscopy Female force in addition to serving as the VP for Stryker African American Network Kalamazoo Chapter. Olivia is now serving on the National Board for SAAN and is also a contributing member of the Stryker Veterans association focusing on recruiting, retention and development of Veterans.

Olivia is focused on creating a culture of inclusion built on repeatable processes that focuses on the customer, empowers our employees and leverages the best strengths of our leaders..

Olivia is married to Dan Cream and live in Tampa Florida. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cycling, hiking and paddle boarding.
